Greetings Beautiful Family and Friends!
I trust that you are doing well! My family and I were so excited about attending the wedding of my beautiful cousin Rachael and her now husband Ryan in Phoenix, Arizona in May! I hadn’t been to Phoenix in a while and decided to extend my stay and make a vacation of it! My hubby Tony, adult children Antasha and Jay and I were giddy about our upcoming trip! We would have a chance to fellowship with family we hadn’t seen in a while and carve out a little private time for ourselves! As I share this segment on travel, I would like to incorporate jobs, discounts and free stuff available as well! Please enjoy! Thanks and have a great week!

Choosing a Beautiful Destination Hotel
I love staying at luxury hotels at a reasonable price! You will certainly find that in Tempe Mission Palms! Please check out their website at: http://www.missionpalms.com/. We stayed there and our entire experience was absolutely wonderful! Change that! It was spectacular in every sense of the word! They perform in excellence in virtually every area! As you plan your vacation to Phoenix, consider staying at this fabulous locale! Room Service is exceptional! The restaurant service is phenomenal! The pool area is charming and relaxing! My favorite area was the courtyard! I had a stunning view from my hotel room and made it a point to go down to the courtyard each day! I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was no charge for parking or valet parking! That was an awesome perk! However, please remember to tip the valet parking staff handsomely! They are excellent! The hotel is downtown Tempe and within walking distance of everything! You will love it! We did!

Check Out Visit Phoenix for Things to Do and Local Attractions
As you are planning your vacation this summer, it’s a great idea to check in with the local convention and visitor’s bureau (CVB) or visitor’s center. You can go online to www.visitphoenix.com for a wealth of information and assistance in making your visit a fun, exciting and enriching one! Click on this link for the Top 30 things to do in Phoenix: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g31310-Activities-Phoenix_Arizona.html. I was able to visit three great attractions during my stay: The Desert Botanical Garden, The Phoenix Zoo and The Heard Museum. I enjoyed all of them. But I have to remember my hat next time!
The Desert Botanical Garden – I really like visiting botanical gardens. I especially liked this visit to a desert garden. I was intrigued by the large selection of cactus plants. Located in Papago Park, the garden has more than 50,000 plants on display which includes 400 rare species. This will make for a really fun and educational family trip. Just remember your hats! Please click on this link for information on pricing, special events more! http://www.dbg.org/
The Phoenix Zoo – Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My! Whenever I visit cities, I try to make it a point to visit their zoo! I’m glad I did this time! I really enjoyed my visit to The Phoenix Zoo! They have over 1400 animals and 30 endangered species. I was able to closely see the animals including the tigers, bears, elephants, komodo dragons, huge tortoise and more! Please check out this link for ticketing info, upcoming events and more! http://phoenixzoo.org/
The Heard Museum – Simply AMAZING! There is a wealth of Native American culture in this single museum. If art and culture are of interest to you, this is a must-see for you when you visit Phoenix. I learned so much! Exhibits include baskets, beadwork, jewelry, fine art, pottery and textiles. I was particularly astounded by the history of Native Americans and Boarding Schools. There is a physical boarding school for visitors to walk in and learn the sad history of young people sent to these boarding schools. You don’t want to miss it. Click on this link for really great information on current and upcoming exhibits and more! http://heard.org/.
