A Letter to Beautiful Birmingham… I Loved Visiting Your Lovely City!

Birmingham Vickie Ashford.JPG

Dear Beautiful Birmingham,

It was a pleasure visiting your lovely city. Your residents are so kind, friendly and accommodating.  Your cuisine is first class!  I especially liked tasting all of your delicious international food.  Whether casual or upscale, soul food or Greek specialties, French-inspired or American, your food fare is fabulous. Oh yes! The Highlands Bar and Grill, Trattoria Centrale, Rib-It-Up, Hot and Hot Fish Club, Demetri’s Bar-B-Q, Johnny’s Restaurant and Roots & Revelry were marvelous! It was really nice taking a stroll to Pizitz Food Hall to enjoy a Waffle Works peach cobbler waffle!

I absolutely loved staying in the city at the historic Tutwiler Hotel as well as retreating to the suburbs to visit The Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook! Your attractions such as Vulcan Park and Museum, Barber Motorsports Museum and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute were incredible!  Everything and everyone was wonderful! A special thanks to the AMAZING Vickie Ashford of the Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau.  You ensured that my stay was a GREAT one! I look forward to writing about this wonderful city! So long for now.  I look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Leslie E. Royal
